Palm Trees and Whites in Palma

White Topshop dress, on holiday I still get really excited whenever I go on holiday and I see palm trees. They represent something very exotic to me even after seeing them here in the UK regularly, but as a Swede they symbolise holiday. I love the feeling of stepping off a plane and getting hit by a wall of humid, warm air. I always find it really hard to breath in humid air at first, but then the euphoria you get from all the sweet and exotic smells takes over and you get filled with the tingly holiday excitement.

Palm tree We went to Palma for this holiday break to get some sunshine and some well needed rest and relaxation. We stayed at a lovely hotel just on the beach of Playa del Palma and enjoyed just over four days of eating and soaking up the sun by the pool. As the weather forecast was sunny and around 30 degrees Celsius on average, I had packed lightly (see my packing blog post here), with a lot of light clothes. My skin is very fair, but does go a bit darker and mainly more freckly in the sun, and I love wearing whites to enhance the tan. The a-line dress in these outfit photos is from Topshop and has been one of their signature dress designs for this season and has been available in many different colours and fabrics. I love the slightly laced texture to this fabric and as it is lined, it’s not very see-through and looks very ‘dressed’ for a short dress. I bought it from the Tall collection though, as I’m not too comfortable with really short dresses. I paired the dress with my favourite white converse and Skagen watch, to create a simple but stylish holiday look.
