The witching hour is almost here. If you’ve chosen to have a cocktail party but haven’t yet began putting everything together, don’t fret. There are some things you can do to put together an awesome Halloween party and it will only take a few minutes.

Dress the Room up Right

No Halloween party is complete without spooky themed décor. Don’t make this complicated. In fact, simply stringing some cheesecloth over the doorway or windows will make these areas look creepy. You can also make some creepy ghosts out of bandannas to hang around the room. Also, don’t forget to pick up some party utensils and tableware with a Halloween theme to spruce things up even more. If you don’t have a fall tablecloth available and don’t want to buy one, you can always cover your table with a red, orange, or brown sheet instead. Also, remember to have a lot of candles around. You can also use pumpkins for candle holders, which is really simple to make.

Bring on the Snacks

Many people don’t like to cook, but what’s a party without some type of snack? Well, if you don’t have time to cook and want to put together a snack in 10 minutes or less, you can do just that. Simply buy some Halloween coloured drink cups and fill them with trail mix or peanuts then stick a couple of gummy worms on top. This is a great mix to go with a cocktail.

Speaking of cocktails, the best way to make sure your friends at your party have a great time without worrying about having the right mix of drinks available is to hire someone like liquidchefs.co.uk to set up a mobile bar with a spooky theme and some Halloween drinks like Bloody Mary’s (and why not serve them in test tube shot glasses?)

Halloween Activities

Now that you’ve set the ambiance, don’t forget to have some activities in place too. Of course, you want to have some Halloween music (e.g. “The Monster Mash”) so people can dance, but what do you have planned for those who don’t enjoy dancing? Well, one thing you can do is have a place set up (simply throw a tablecloth on the floor, set a table on top of it and cover the table with another tablecloth) for your guests to carve a pumpkin. There are so many great kits and tools you can easily pick up from your local party store for your guests to enjoy using. You can also turn this into a contest and give the person who wins a prize!

So it’s not really that difficult to have a Halloween party. These ideas won’t take you very long to put together and the best part is that they’re inexpensive too. I’m sure your guests wouldn’t even notice, instead they’ll be telling all of your friends who weren’t able to attend your party what a great party they missed out on!
